Diamond Aprons Conveyors are a continuous metal belt custom perforated to the required open area to suit the products being processed. A micro hinge connection between two aprons means minimum gaps and less friction. This small gaps allow to convey very small granule formed products down from 1.5mm to 3mm diameter, less friction means minimum power requirement for the dryer drive system. These micro (piano) hinge arrangement ensure minimum gap on the flat surface of conveyor belt, as well as on all the changes in direction. Either the change is on the head or tail sprocket area, or the change is in the direction of Conveyor, i.e. slope up or slope down.

The mounting of the pivot hinges directly on the center of rollers ensures that the centerline of the hinge and the centerline of rollers are in the same line as the centerline of the chain. This unique design factor also ensures minimum gap in all changes in direction of the conveyor belt.
